Kevin Graber continues to win wherever he goes.
The former Phillips Andover head coach led the Chicago Cubs' Double-A affiliate, the Tennessee Smokies, to a Southern League championship-clinching win on Tuesday night. Former Worcester Academy standout Matt Shaw (Brimfield, Mass.) joined Graber on the championship roster after getting the call-up to Tennessee for the final 15 regular-season games and postseason run.
The Smokies clinched their first outright Southern League title in 45 years with a 10-3 win over Pensacola.
"I don't know what it is," Graber said. "I guess I've been lucky to be a part of some great teams."
