
College baseball coaches often endorse the idea of the multi-sport athlete. Playing multiple sports can increase athleticism and competitiveness while teaching aspiring college baseball players to adapt different roles.
While dozens of New England’s future D1 prospects continue to play baseball through the fall, others are representing their respective schools on football and soccer fields, as well as cross-country and golf courses. In many cases, players committed to college baseball programs are excelling in their final seasons playing a fall sport other than baseball.
