Our latest “transfer tracker” post includes another Northeast-10 Conference standout transferring up, a newcomer to the UMass outfield and additions to three of the region’s Division 2 and 3 programs.
The pandemic and the rise of the NCAA Transfer Portal have created busy offseasons in college baseball. Players opting to go into the portal are not required to transfer or guarantee they will transfer, but it leaves the door open — and allows other schools’ coaches to speak with them. Last summer began with more than 3,000 players in the portal, and the trend has continued since.
