It's difficult to keep up with all of the roster turnover at the college level, with MLB draftees and graduates vacating roster spots and incoming freshmen beginning to report to campus. Players in the NCAA Portal are also firming up plans now that they can project their roles on rosters of interest.
Our local “transfer tracker” has a Northeastern/Northwestern theme, with two prospects bolstering the roster at each Division 1 program.
Players that remain in the NCAA Transfer Portal are not required to transfer, but it leaves the door open — and allows other schools’ coaches to speak with them. The summer began with more than 3,000 players in the portal.
If you know of a New England transfer — from any level — that we have yet to mention, please email dguttenplan@baseballjournal.com.
