New England’s Division 2 baseball clubs have already started their 2019 seasons to varying degrees. Southern New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce, and New Haven are tasting early success at the top of the regional scene, while their Northeast-10 competitors Stonehill and Assumption have both won seven games.
The schedule is just getting underway in full for most of the region’s clubs, so New England Baseball Journal is here to unveil its Division 2 Preseason Team, as well as how some of those players have fared in the early going.
Three players come from the defending East Region champion Penmen, while Franklin Pierce, Bentley, and Stonehill are the home to two apiece. And while the squad is dominated by NE-10 players, both Post of the Central Atlantic Athletic Conference and Bridgeport of the East Coast Conference have representation.
Four All-NEBJ Division 2 players are Massachusetts natives, three hail from Connecticut, and two from New Hampshire. One player from Maine rounds out the New England representation on the team:
