The New England Collegiate Baseball League will return for its 28th season this summer with 14 teams, playing exclusively within the Northern and Southern Divisions.
One notable change for the 2022 season will be the Mystic Schooners' move to a new home field. Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium will serve as the team’s new home. The team moves from its previous home, Fitch Field at Groton’s Robert E. Fitch High School.
Dodd Stadium, which has been a baseball landmark in eastern Connecticut since 1995, is located in the Norwich Business Park and has served as the home for both minor league and summer collegiate league baseball teams.
The NECBL typically serves as a league for New England natives as well as other college players from the area. Here's a look at 92 New England natives who have committed to playing in the NECBL this summer.
