After a summer’s hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, players from near and far have come back to the New England Collegiate Baseball League in 2021.
As the season reaches its halfway point and the All-Star Game at historic Cardines Field in Newport, R.I., nears on Sunday, July 18, New England Baseball Journal highlights some of the top regional products making an impact in a 14-team circuit that is playing exclusively within the Northern and Southern Divisions this year.
There are New England products showing out on the division-leading Newport Gulls and Keene Swamp Bats. The reigning NECBL Player of the Week is also from one of the region’s top programs, one that is well represented on many league rosters.
