The prep baseball story of the last week was Cheshire Academy's victory over Austin Prep, which snapped a 38-game winning streak.
As impressive as that streak was for Austin Prep, it's not entirely accurate to call Cheshire Academy's win an upset. At 7-0, Cheshire has a "Big Three" that includes three future ACC prospects -- Clemson commit Daniel Margolies, Virginia Tech commit Tyler Stone, and Notre Dame commit Garrett Snyder. All three pitched in the victory over Austin Prep and clocked fastballs north of 90 mph.
Cheshire will likely move up from the fifth spot in our weekly Prep Power Rankings, as the Cats are the lone remaining undefeated team in the WNEPBL.
