Even after six months on the job, Matt Reynolds still can’t quite believe he is the head coach at UMass.
It is the school from which he received two degrees. He takes over for Mike Stone, who guided the Minutemen for 30 years and served as his coach for two years as a player and three as a graduate assistant. He calls South Boston, Mass., home.
For all those reasons, Amherst is the perfect landing spot for Reynolds as he makes his Division 1 head coaching debut.
