
With the Division 1 baseball season more than a month old, some of the top players in New England are starting to become clear.
Bryant outfielder Ryan Ward (Millbury, Mass.), Northeastern’s Sean Mellen (Norwood, Mass.), and UConn’s Jacob Wallace (Methuen, Mass.) and Mason Feole (Wakefield, R.I.) among others have been on the radar for a long time and will likely hear their names called by Major League Baseball clubs come June.
However, others — whether freshmen or upperclassmen taking on more important roles — have used the early weeks of the spring to break out on the diamond and emerge on the regional leaderboard.
