New Hampshire’s most consistent Division 1 contender of late has been Bedford. But despite making five straight state finals, the Bulldogs have only walked away celebrating one time, in 2016.
With the uncertainty looming over spring sports in the region, following the complete loss of a season last year, it’s anyone’s guess who are poised to be the top contenders in the Granite State divisions.
Bedford will look to star southpaw and outfielder Zach Fletcher. The Purdue commit continues to grow nicely into his 6-foot-3 frame, which has only added power to his fastball and his bat. Senior Michael Platte (Maine) is another strong left-handed hurler.
Defending champion Londonderry will open with a roster boasting nine senior players. Senior LHP/OF Owen MacDonnell (Sacred Heart) is a hard thrower who has earned a Perfect Game grade of 8, out of 10. The speedy Braden Griffin and versatile Zach Smith should help to ignite the offense.
