The North Manchester/Hooksett Little League All-Star team captured the collective support of the New England area quietly and confidently as they marched their way to Williamsport, Pa., making the region proud with an outstanding showing at the Little League World Series.
They faced adversity along the way, and their resolve defined their character as a team that was never out of the fight as the New England representative finished as one of the final eight teams in the country.
“We knew we were going to be a pretty good team when we started,” said manager Tim DeVall. “We didn’t think at the time we were going to be World Series good.”
“We knew early on, even going back a year ago when Tim and I coached last year’s all-star team, we knew we were coming back with a lot of high-end talent,” said coach Mike Lucier. “We added a bunch of great kids this year. We knew the future was bright, and they had a real chance if they put it together at the right time.”
