Nutrition tips to perform your best

By Sarah GilbertApril 8, 2019

Whether you’re headed to baseball camp this summer for fun with your teammates or to sharpen skills and prepare for an upcoming season, make sure you have the fuel to perform your best.

Being out all day in the heat requires planning ahead to make sure you have enough food and drinks to keep you energized and hydrated. If you want to play at the highest levels, you need to start with the basics.

Nutrition — aka the foods we eat and the beverages we drink — is what gives our body the energy it needs to do work, build and repair muscle, and refuel so we can train and play day-after-day.

It also helps reduce the risk of injury and illness and improves mental clarity so we never miss a second on the field. To make sure you’re properly fueled and hydrated, don’t leave home without enough water and healthy meals and snacks to get you through the day.
