The calendar hitting mid-July means that the summer collegiate season around New England is reaching its climax.
The NECBL All-Star Game was first up, pitting East and West Division squads against one another on Sunday at Muzzy Field in Bristol, Conn.
The Futures League took center stage in Connecticut a couple of days later, hosting its festivities at Norwich’s Dodd Stadium between Team Rose City (featuring the Norwich Sea Unicorns, New Britain Bees, Westfield Starfires and Worcester Bravehearts) and Team Three Rivers.
