Pat Donnelly and Dan Guttenplan collaborated on an MIAA midseason review for the latest edition of The Base Path Podcast.
Donnelly explained his most recent MIAA power rankings, which have two Catholic Conference teams (Xaverian, St. John’s Shrewsbury) at the top.
“It’s the Catholic Conference and the Bay State Conference too,” Donnelly said. “Those conferences are a microcosm of the season as a whole. The top 10 is changing every week. It’s been very entertaining from my perspective. It’s fun to have the turnover each week.
“I keep writing that all of these teams are beating up on each other, especially at the top. In the Catholic Conference, BC High, Xaverian, St. John’s Shrewsbury, and even Catholic Memorial … they’re all getting some wins in there. They’re all throwing haymakers at each other.”
