The MIAA Tournament is underway, and our latest episode of The Base Path Podcast breaks down the favorites in each of the five divisions.
MIAA analyst Pat Donnelly also shared his list of 10 finalists for MIAA Player of the Year.
“Whether it’s a St. John’s Shrewsbury or BC High, you have maybe two or three players that could be in this top 10,” Donnelly said. “It’s tough to narrow down just one of them and get one candidate out of that.
“The quality of these players throughout the entire state — D1 through D5 — has been exceptional this year. And a lot of two-way stars, of course, a lot of strong pitching performances, and even some guys, outfielders or infielders, who have just been offensive powerhouses individually for their teams. It’s been really impressive.”
