Since 2014, Vanderbilt has reached the College World Series championship four times, winning two national championships.
Under the direction of head coach and Wolfeboro, N.H., native Tim Corbin, Vanderbilt has established itself as a program that regularly covets players from the Northeast.
Two of those players will officially become “VandyBoys” beginning in 2025. Alex Grant (Avon, Conn.) and Aiden O'Connell (Bedford, N.H.) are widely viewed as two of the premier left-handed pitchers in the Northeast. Both are currently attending Avon Old Farms School.
Grant transferred from Avon High School, having played for head coach Jon Yolles, before reclassifying his junior year. O'Connell arrived last fall as a postgraduate following a brilliant senior season at Bedford High School, under the direction of head coach Bill Chapman. O'Connell was named New Hampshire Gatorade Player of the Year.
