The Greenwich Country Day School baseball program, under the direction of third-year coach Thomas Hart, is navigating its way through the difficult New England prep school mine field.
In 2019, Greenwich County Day added grades 10-12 to its Upper School which, in turn, paved the way to include more athletic programs at the varsity level. This will be the first season in which Greenwich Country Day is fully enrolled with seniors on campus.
"Baseball has been young for the past two seasons,'' said Hart.
The potential for growth is there for the Greenwich County Day baseball program, as the school's enrollment is close to 1,300 students. The GCDS has a proud tradition with distinct alumni that includes former President of the United States George H.W. Bush, WWE Chairwomen Stephanie McMahon, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki and sports journalist Bill Simmons and Bryce Dallas Howard.
