East Haven, Conn., natives Logan Charboneau and Amato Civitelli have traveled similar paths along their respective baseball journeys, and that doesn't figure to end any time soon. The Hamden Hall teammates will continue to play for the same team in college, as both are committed to in-state UConn.
Civitello, a junior, has been at Hamden Hall since he was a middle-schooler. Charboneau, a senior, transferred to Hamden Hall from The Stony Brook School (N.Y.) before the 2023-24 school year.
Standing 6-foot-7, 230 pounds, Charboneau excelled in his first season at Hamden Hall, batting .354, with a .521 OBP, 1.152 OPS, five home runs, and 25 RBIs. Civitello was just as impressive, with a . 402 average, 38 hits, 22 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases.
"I've been lucky to coach some amazing young men, and Logan and Amato are certainly no exception,'' said Hornets fifth-year head coach Brad Chernovetz. "Whether on the field or off, both conduct themselves as leaders. Since the day they arrived on campus, they have been contributors in the classroom and on the field."
