King School '25 Tim McGrath figures to be one of the top uncommitted prospects in the Northeast.
He recently completed a junior season in which he batted .385 out of the No. 3 hole, adding three home runs, 15 RBIs, 17 runs scored, and 16 walks.
"Tim came in as a reclassified freshman with an advanced toolset already,'' said seventh-year Vikings head coach Ryan Quinn. "He has baseball in his bloodline, and you could tell he was more polished than most freshmen. He immediately started at shortstop and made a huge impact defensively, but he was never satisfied with his play and constantly pushed himself to get better.''
Due to the COVID shutdown year, McGrath opted to enroll in the Stamford, Conn., school and take advantage of the smaller class sizes and advanced classes. As McGrath has matured, so, too, has his development as a player.
