Trinity-Pawling third baseman Manny Carreras left a lasting impression in his debut with the Pride last spring. Carreras entered Trinity-Pawling by reclassifying after coming over from Wooster School in his hometown of Danbury, Conn.
Carreras finished 2024 with a batting average of .383, and an OPS of 1.191. He drove in eight runs, scored 17 times, swiped six bases, and walked 16 times.
"The time from when I got on the Trinity-Pawling campus to the end of last spring was my biggest development period in my career,'' said Carreras. "It was then that I was able to hone in on the foundation I had built with my summer team coach (Jerry Defabbia) at Team Crush, where I was able to have the discipline necessary to find success in the high-intensity situations found in Founders League competition."
Trinity-Pawling coach Cody Doyle, who played at Avon Old Farms and Sacred Heart University, came to Trinity-Pawling in 2019. Doyle believes Carreras epitomizes the spirit of the Pride team and the surrounding community.
