John O'Connor was one of James Gouin's first recruits not long after accepting head coaching position at Wilbraham & Monson Academy three years ago.
Now in the midst of his third and final season, O'Connor transferred into W&M after spending his freshman year at Minnechaug Regional High (Wilbraham, Mass.).
"I felt I wasn't receiving the attention I needed from my teachers in the classroom and my coaches on the field (at Minnechaug),'' said O'Connor, a third baseman who can also play first base. "When I received an email from Coach Gouin, it was the beginning of a big decision that has benefited me greatly.''
Since O'Connor's arrival, Gouin has been thrilled by his presence at the school, calling him a great addition and someone who has been extremely impactful in all facets of the campus community.
