Nate Garrett's recruitment by the Hobart College coaching staff was not a long, drawn-out process.
A Duxbury, Mass., native, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Garrett is currently wrapping up a post-graduate year at Phillips Exeter. After graduating from Milton Academy, Garrett looked to expand his chances to play baseball at the next level.
Hobart College, located in Geneva, N.Y., checked every box for the outfielder/first baseman.
Besides being one of the top academic liberal arts colleges in the country, Hobart is also rated among the top 10 value institutions in the nation, according to Smart Money. That sparked Garrett's interest. He was also enthused about the return of baseball as an NCAA program.
