Like many prep school newcomers in 2020, Antonio Morales had to wait his turn to make an impact at Roxbury Latin due to the pandemic.
When he finally got the chance with the return to a relatively normal Independent School League last spring, he proved himself to be one of New England's top prospects.
"It was clear, after a couple of days of watching him, that he had a natural gift on the diamond that would separate him from others," said Roxbury coach David Cataruzolo. "Over the course of the last two seasons, Antonio has grown as both a player and as a leader. He is arguably the top defensive player I have coached. His ability to track balls in outfield and his soft hands in the infield are elite. He could literally play any position on the field and excel at each.
"What I am most pleased by however, is his approach to the team. He cares about his teammates and is willing to do whatever it takes to put the team in the best position to succeed.''
