Right-handed pitcher Tyler Stone and power hitter Garrett Snyder were major catalysts to Cheshire Academy's WNEPBL Cleary Division championship.
With Stone and Snyder in tow for two more years, a WNEPBL Tournament championship could be the next goal for the Cats, who fell to eventual champion Salisbury School in the WNEPBL Tournament.
Named Cleary Division Pitcher of the Year, Stone pitched 25 innings, finishing with a 5-1 record and two saves. He struck out 38 and sported a 2.25 ERA while showcasing a mid- to high-80s fastball.
"Tyler was a bulldog for us,'' said second-year Cats coach Anthony Giano. "He was always ready to compete and was the ace of our pitching staff."
