The postseason is upon us in New England prep school baseball, with Exeter and Suffield gaining first-place consideration in New England Baseball Journal’s eighth Prep School Coaches Poll of the season after winning league championships.

Exeter will head into its upcoming rivalry clash with No. 1 Andover following a Central New England Prep title against Dexter Southfield, while Suffield completed an undefeated run to win the Western New England circuit. St. Sebastian’s continues to pace the ISL clubs ranked in the NEBJ poll as the No. 2 team. All 10 teams remain the same from a week ago, though there are some changes in the rankings.

In addition, 13 other teams received top-10 consideration on at least one coach’s ballot. As a refresher, teams receive 10 points for a first-place vote, nine for a second-place vote, eight for a third-place vote, etc. Coaches from around New England serve as voting panelists for the poll, which is released each Tuesday during the season.

Those interested in participating can email Joshua Kummins (jkummins@baseballjournal.com) for more information.
