The uniqueness of Bridgton Academy is what has made it so special.
The Maine-based institution, roughly a 90-minute drive north of Portland, is primarily a post-grad, all-boys school. Over the years, it has produced a number of quality college baseball players.
One of the intangibles that separates Bridgton from most private schools is that it plays a complete fall and spring schedule. In the fall, baseball team plays against various travel teams and junior college programs. Come spring time, the Wolverines take on such top level prep programs as Phillips Academy, Phillips-Exeter, Thayer, Belmont Hill and Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.
As part of its upcoming southern trip, Bridgton will square off against the likes of national powers IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and TCS Post Grad Academy (McKinney, Texas).
