Over the course of the upcoming weeks, New England Baseball Journal will be presenting preseason thumbnail capsules on various prep teams/leagues throughout the Northeast.
With the cancellation of last season due to Covid-19, the hope is that all programs will make a welcomed, and much needed, return to the diamond this upcoming spring.
As we focus on these programs, NEBJ will highlight top returning players as well as potential newcomers who have been added to the roster. In addition, comments by head coaches will also be included allowing readers to get a broad perspective on each team.
The first installment will focus on the Fairchester Athletic Association. The FAA sometimes becomes overshadowed by other leagues in the southern New England region, such as the Founders League and WNEPBL. However, the FAA continues to remain highly competitive and solid conference filled with exceptional, young talent. The FAA also has built a well-regarded reputation when it comes to sending many of its student-athletes to top level college programs. This year will certainly be no different.
