While Major League Baseball presently sits in a holding pattern as we all try to get through the COVID-19 virus, we all know now that college, prep and high school baseball is cancelled for the season.

In spite of that, it has not altered the plans of numerous New England preparatory school players who have made their commitments to various collegiate programs across the nation.

What has been the norm for some time now, prep school baseball continues to set the standard when it comes to overall talent and recruiting. College baseball coaches understand the significance of going the prep school route first in their efforts to build upon their respective programs.

Coaches will agree that the standards put forth in the recruiting process centers around a player’s skill level, maturity factor, character and academic standing. Each of these aforementioned traits play a significant role as to why college coaches tend to lean heavily on prep school student-athletes for the purpose of landing some of the very best baseball talent New England produces year after year.
