Cheshire Academy earned two wins last week to remain undefeated and stick atop New England Baseball Journal’s Prep School Coaches Poll for the third time in the season's first four weeks. Head coaches from around the region were asked to select their top 10 teams from all leagues, producing the following results.
The Fighting Cats earned 150 total points and 10 first-place votes, both records in the poll’s short history. St. Sebastian’s ranks in the No. 2 slot and grabbed four first-place votes following its win over rival Belmont Hill at Fenway Park last Wednesday. Phillips Andover, Belmont Hill, and Salisbury round out the top half of the ranking, while Phillips Exeter joins for the first time as the No. 10 team.
