The college baseball season has come to a close for all of New England's programs, so it's time to turn our attention to the summer calendar.
Many of New England's college players are committed to playing in one of the collegiate summer baseball leagues. The Cape League season is set to begin on June 20, and 20 New England natives have committed to permanent contracts. The Futures League expanded to eight teams this season, and the rosters are laden with New Englanders. The NECBL also offers a stage for college players to shine, and the 14 teams have a heavy New England presence.
At the prep and high school levels, players will continue to get their reps on travel teams, AAU tournaments or Legion play. The best of the best will have a chance to attend the elite showcase events like the Area Code Games and East Coast Pro Showcase.
Here are some key dates to circle on the calendar for those who want to get a look at New England's top prospects.
