Sharon’s John Brebbia completes journey to the big leagues and Fenway Park

By Kevin HenkinSeptember 1, 2017

I could not be happier or feel more fortunate than I do to be where I am right now," John Brebbia says at the beginning of our conversation.

The "where" he refers to is the visitor’s dugout in Fenway Park. The "right now" is a few hours before game time in Brebbia’s first-ever appearance in Fenway as a majorleague baseball player.

Brebbia, a native of Sharon, Mass., speaks happily about all the times he’s been to Fenway as a Red Sox fan. Listening to him talk about his career, you get a clear sense of just how many hardships he’s had to overcome, which makes this arrival as a player all the sweeter.
