Christian Moore
For years, Suffield Academy coach Bryan Brissette clamored after Christian Moore with no results.
Back in 2012, Moore’s older brother, CJ, was enrolled at Suffield. Young Christian and his family would make regular treks north to Connecticut from their Brooklyn, N.Y., home to watch CJ’s football and baseball games.
CJ would go on to get drafted in the 13th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2014. By then, Brissette had heard enough positive things about 10-year-old Christian’s athletic abilities from CJ to keep the little brother on his radar.
“I admit that I started recruiting Chris at an early age, as CJ was constantly telling me about his little brother’s athletic prowess,’’ recalls Brissette.
