With a full fall schedule at LeLacheur Park in the books, it has already felt like more of a normal baseball year for UMass Lowell.
As far as the team on the field, however, the 2022 season will feature quite a new look.
The River Hawks have experienced plenty of goings and comings since they last took the field in May, winning seven of the last 12 games on a schedule that featured nothing but America East Conference play after the first three weekends of the season.
Lowell’s roster includes 14 freshmen and six transfers, replacing a group of seven that departed through the NCAA Transfer Portal. With so much new talent, the fall season offered plenty of insight to 18th-year coach Ken Harring.
