The Minor League Baseball season is finally in full swing, so let’s see how some of the talent that have honed their skills in the region are faring.
Rhett Wiseman has hit the Double-A level at full speed. Entering his first season at the level with the Harrisburg Senators (Washington affiliate) the former Buckingham, Brown & Nichols standout is leading the Eastern League in nearly every offensive category over the first week of games.
The Mansfield, Mass., native is tops in the league in batting average (.478), slugging (1.130), home runs (4), RBIs (8) and total bases (23).
Wiseman hit safely in his first seven games of the season, including a two-home run performance against the Hartford Yard Goats this past Monday, the second in his five-year pro career.
