The 13th annual Kelly Rodman Memorial Summer Rivalry Classic will bring to a close a plentiful two-month stretch of showcase opportunities for New England’s top college and high school prospects.
The annual late-August showcase traditionally caps the summer of highly scouted events for players from the Northeast. This year's event will take place on Friday, Aug. 27 at Fenway Park. Two teams -- a Yankees scout team and Red Sox scout team -- will play a double-header. The first game will start at 1 p.m.
In addition to New England players, the Summer Rivalry Classic also includes select prospects from California, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
The Yankees will be coached by Yankees regional scouting director Matt Hyde while the Red Sox will be led by regional scouting director Ray Fagnant. Scouts from other MLB organizations along with dozens of college recruiters are expected to be in attendance. Here is a look at rosters for each team.
