Travel ball spotlight: The Show spreads to Peabody with new facility

By Dan GuttenplanFebruary 24, 2022

Steve Lomasney finally has an indoor training facility in the city where he made his name in baseball.

The former Red Sox draft pick and 12-year pro baseball player recently opened a new facility for his travel program -- Show Baseball and Softball Academy -- in his hometown of Peabody.

The indoor complex is just down the road from Peabody High, where Lomasney carved out a Hall of Fame career as a football player and baseball player. There’s room for six batting and pitching tunnels plus the ability to open up a big space for infield and outfield work.

The Peabody location serves as The Show's second indoor facility. The team also trains at the New Balance Training Center in Salem, Mass.
