Now in its 11th year of existence, The Clubhouse CT appears primed to grow to unprecedented heights among New England travel programs in 2022.
The Clubhouse CT owner Mike Porzio and his staff plan to expand by opening a new location in the northern part of Connecticut by the fall of 2022. Already a program with 20 teams, 285 players and 19 Division 1 commits in the Class of 2022, The Clubhouse CT could potentially make the next step to becoming the most competitive travel program in New England.
As it stands now, The Clubhouse CT is already pretty close. The program's Class of '22 squad was recently ranked third in New England and 39th in the country by Perfect Game. The Clubhouse CT Class of '24 squad was ranked first among New England programs and 20th in the country. The only other New England program to have two teams within the 16U, 17U and 18U age levels in the top three of Perfect Game's regional rankings is North East Baseball.
"We think that opening a second location will help us become a national contender," said The Clubhouse CT Director of Baseball Operations Matt Burns. "We haven't picked out specifics for a location or the opening date. But the plan is to open a location in the northern part of the state in the fall of 2022."
