Eight teams have yet to open their seasons, but the top of New England’s Division 1 baseball ranks looks strong one weekend in.
Connecticut followed up its 37-win, NCAA-qualifying 2018 campaign with an impressive series victory over Louisville on neutral soil. Bryant won its opening set for the first time as a Div. 1 program. Boston College is 3-0, winning its opening series for the second straight year.
Seven of those eight open their seasons this weekend, including defending America East champion Hartford and three of New England's four Ivy League clubs. There is still plenty more to learn about the region’s teams the next few weeks.
