How’s spring training going?

“It’s going well. It’s been a great spring training so far. I’m excited about where I’m at.”

I saw Bruce Bochy announced this will be his last season as Giants manager. How did you react to that news?

“He told us right before he told the media, during our first team meeting. We sit through those every year, and they typically introduce new players, talk about expectations for the season, and what our hopes are. In midst of that, he said this will be his final year, and talked about his hopes for the identity of the team. It got a little emotional. Obviously, I’ve only had a brief stint with him, but it’s been a privilege. Guys are excited to contribute and make it a special year.”
