The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference state tournament is upon us, with qualifying round games set to start on Saturday, May 28.
Connecticut's annual high school state tournament splits teams into four divisions -- LL, L, M, S -- depending on school size. The finals for all four divisions will be played on June 10 and 11 at Palmer Field in Middletown, Conn.
The next few weeks will provide Connecticut players with opportunities to cement their legacies as big-game players, champions or even elite college prospects. Of course, winning trumps all individual accomplishments at this time of year.
