Last spring finally allowed prep school teams to make a return to normalcy. In 2022, programs were given the green light to play a full regular season schedule and postseason league tournaments. With a full slate of games being played, it allowed for many highly touted individual player performances.
This upcoming spring is expected to provide an even higher level of play sprinkled throughout the Northeast.
Once again, many prep programs are stocked with an abundance of elite student-athletes who are chomping at the bit for the 2023 campaign to get underway in a couple of months.
Over the past two weeks, New England Baseball Journal has put together a list of Prep Players to Watch for the 2023 season, including brief comments from coaches on each player. Today's final list includes Austin Prep, Marianapolis Prep, Pingree School, Portsmouth Abbey, Putnam Science Academy and The Winchendon School.
