BOSTON 一 With the Boston Red Sox out on a six-game road trip, Fenway Park turned into a Field of Dreams for four local Division 1 baseball programs in recent days.
After Boston College hosted Miami in its annual ALS Awareness Game to benefit the Pete Frates Family Foundation on Sunday afternoon, the Baseball Beanpot tradition -- featuring the Northeastern, Harvard, UMass and the Eagles -- returned to America’s Most Beloved Ballpark for the first time since 2019 with a Tuesday doubleheader.
Northeastern continued its New England-leading season and successfully defended its Beanpot title with a 5-4 win over Harvard. The Huskies are now 34-9 and will enter the weekend riding the nation’s longest win streak at 13 games. The consolation game earlier Tuesday saw BC beat UMass, 13-6.
