Six New England prospects earned roster spots for the second annual Junior Subway Series, a high-profile showcase event that will be played this afternoon at St. John's University in Queens, N.Y.
MLB scouts selected two 25-player rosters for a Yankees Scout Team and Mets Scout Team, respectively. The majority of the players are college-committed players from the Northeast. The New England players selected included high school prospects in the Class of 2025, 2026, and 2027.
Along with the Perfect Game WWBA World Championship, the Junior Subway Series is considered one of the premier showcase events for high school prospects during the month of October.
