Between summer collegiate baseball and elite showcase events for incoming high school seniors, the summer always tends to bring into clearer focus the complexion of the next year's MLB Draft.
The 2021 MLB Draft offered the best collection of New England talent ever. A total of 31 players either from New England or attending New England schools were selected in the 20-round draft. Of those 31, 15 were selected in the first 10 rounds, eclipsing the previous record of 12 for the first 10 rounds, set in 1965.
With the 2022 MLB Draft now only nine months out, we'll attempt to reset the draft board following a summer of competitive action around New England.
