Summer baseball has returned to New England in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.
The circuit began its 2020 season with two games on Thursday and another on Friday. Play will continue through mid-August in what is the only major summer collegiate league in the region playing this year.
Some of the region’s top players -- from both large schools and small -- will be showcased in the league while the Cape Cod League and NECBL seasons are cancelled.
NEBJ’s look around the Futures League continues below with a pitcher to watch from each of the six competing teams this season, the 10th in the league’s history. We also posted team-by-team previews, a look at the summer’s top storylines and position players to watch this week.
