The summer collegiate baseball season in New England has come and gone.
The Futures League was the last local circuit to complete its season on Friday night, as the Nashua Silver Knights won their sixth championship in the league’s 12-year history in dramatic fashion and second in three years.
After finishing third in the regular-season standings, Nashua swept New Britain in the semifinal round and dethroned the 2021 winners, the Vermont Lake Monsters, with a last at-bat victory in the finale of a three-game championship series.
These were some of the top New England native/collegiate performers from the exciting finish for both championship finalists. Don't forget, the annual All-NEBJ teams for all of the region’s leagues will be announced soon.
