Summer collegiate baseball officially returns to New England tonight with the first two games of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League’s 2020 season.
The 10th season in Futures League history is sure to be a unique yet exciting one, serving as one of the first sporting activities in the region since the shutdown caused by COVID-19 in March.
Some of the region’s top players -- from large schools and small -- will be showcased in the league while the Cape Cod League and NECBL seasons are cancelled.
NEBJ’s look around the Futures League continues below with a player to watch from each of the six competing teams this season. We have also posted team-by-team previews and a look at the summer’s top storylines this week.
