Hurricane Ian has caused the cancellation of the Perfect Game WWBA Underclass World Championship -- widely regarded as the premier scouting event of the fall season.
A handful of teams from New England were expected to compete in Fort Myers, Fla., before the event was canceled this morning. Perfect Game will offer alternative scouting showcases, either Oct. 1 to 3 at the WWBA Underclass Championship in Jupiter, Fla., or Oct. 7 to 10 at the WWBA Underclass Fall Nationals in Fort Pierce, Fla.
It remains to be seen how many New England players will be able to reschedule for another weekend. However, for uncommitted prospects, the opportunity to perform against the best '24 and '25 prospects in the nation is worth its weight in gold.
Here is a look at 16 uncommitted prospects from New England who are expected to participate in a Perfect Game fall showcase event.
