The start of the high school/prep baseball season has provided players with an opportunity to showcase all of their hard work from the offseason.

Throughout the spring, we'll look to recognize 10 athletes who have exceptional performances each week. We will select players from prep and high school teams around New England, but we will try not to double up on recognizing any prep players who earned recognition earlier that week in the Prep Coaches Poll.

A reminder that is impossible to attend every high school or prep game in New England, so we rely on reports from coaches and social media accounts to select the 10 top performers each week. If you have a nominee for the weekly watch list, email NEBJ editor Dan Guttenplan at dguttenplan@baseballjournal.com.

Here's a look at 10 exceptional performers at the high school and prep levels over the last week.
